Things change

So Josh went to KC this weekend and I stayed home. With it being near the end of the semester I just had to much to do. So I have been studying like crazy, running errands and cleaning. But I feel a lot less stressed because I got so much done. Josh is having a blast in KC. Today he went to the College Basketball Experience, Tigers game and Demo Day at the Harley store with his brother. I am jealous :(

Well, Josh has had an interesting few days. Yesterday he went to lunch with a co-worker. In the parking lot was a goose. So Josh decided to play around with the goose. He would walk towards it until it hissed. Then it would follow Josh. Josh basically just pissed it off. So after lunch he walked outside to find the goose's revenge. The picture is of Josh's new work car. Lets just say the goose won. lol

Then tonight we went biking. Josh decided to jump a down tree and didn't really land the jump. His leg and arm look a little rough. He said the shower burned. lol I counted tonight and I have 16 bruises on my legs from biking.

Other than that not much else is new or exciting. Last night we went to the ITAP (Josh and Dan's favorite place) with some friends. We have been biking a lot now that the weather is finally nice. Next week we are planning to go to Kansas City. The Tigers are in town so we are going to go to all three games. Saturday is a night game so we are going to take our bikes and hit some trails in KC. I am SOOOO excited for summer :) The following weekend we are meeting my brother in Kentucky to go to the Kentucky Derby. I can't wait. That is always a great time. Then the weekend after that is a friend's birthday so we will be at ITAP partying it up. Then the weekend after that a friend and I are going to take a motorcycle training class to get our licence. I can't wait. Maybe I will buy my dad's bike. lol Then after that we are volunteering with Habitat for Humanity with some friends. So the summer looks exciting.

We have both been busy for the past couple of weeks. Things keep changing for me at work. I have been working/training on different dedicated projects lately after a downsize at the account I was on. I put in two weeks at The Home Depot, then trained for one week at another company called Insituform. I then found out I am getting promoted to run the Home Depot business. So I am back working at Home Depot until I take over next month sometime. I'm excited, as this is the account I started on originally when I came to JB Hunt. I enjoy this account, it is local and I have a great relationship with all the drivers. Many of the stores can be quite pains if you know what I mean. Oh well, you can't have it all.

One of Danielle's co-workers and I have become friends and we have discovered a great establishment out here in Chesterfield. It is called the International Tap House and they have quite the selection of specialty and imported beers (about 500 to be exact). We usually head up there on Thursdays and taste different beers every week. Tomorrow they are having a "beer school", so Dan and I will probably head up to further our education.

Well, Danielle is doing some homework, so I better go check on her, but I hope everyone is doing well.

Go Michigan State. What a great weekend. Michigan State kicked Kansas butt on Friday then won again today. So the Spartans are heading to the final four in the D.

Poor Josh has been crying all weekend after the Kansas lost. He grabbed his teddy bear and went straight to bed. lol He did cheer himself up and bought a mountain bike on Saturday night. I have been on Spring Break all week and it has been nice. Back to hell again this week. lol

Great Weekend

Well after a horrible week at work and school we had a great weekend. My nephew, Norman came to visit. He has spring break this week. Saturday we went to and checked out a house. It was alright, but it just needed a lot of work. I think we are going to have to continue searching.

Saturday night we went to Dave and Busters. Then Sunday we played paintball. It was a blast. Really cold... but fun. After we went to dinner. We were all really cold and starving. It tasted so good.

I took the day off today. We went up in the arch and then went bowling. Norman is really good so he bowled left handed. Tomorrow he goes home. Maybe I can talk him in to transferring to the University of St Louis?! Also tomorrow night Josh and I have Red Wing glass seats. Josh is excited to wear his new McCarty jersey he got for V-day!

Saturday Fun...

So we have been so busy lately. We have both been on a diet... ick! But the good news is we have each lose around 10 lbs. So we are going in the right direction. School has been kicking my butt. Lots of late nights studying.

Today is Josh's annual meeting. So he will be gone all day. But I am sure the guys will have fun afterwards. lol He deserves some fun because he has been working his butt off. I don't know how he does it. I am so proud of him. He hasn't had a day off in weeks.

Today I am cleaning and running around getting things done. I also went and got a pedicure and manicure. It was my valentines present from Josh. I got him a Red Wings Winter Classic Jersey. It is really sweet!

Time to wake up after a long winter nap...

Well, it is 65 out today :) Fred woke me up by scratching on this cage. He wanted out. So I got dressed and took him to the pet store to get some worms. Now I am studying for my exam on Wednesday and Fred is laying on the floor eating.



Sorry I haven't wrote in a long time. Things have been busy. Last week I was in Michigan from Tuesday through Sunday. I worked all week and then spent the weekend with the family. On Saturday I went and tried on my bridesmaids dress for one of my best friend from college's wedding in July. The dress is beautiful. Then Saturday night I went out with my friends. It was a blast.



This week has been crazy at work. Mono and Whooping Cough are going around. So my goal is to not get sick. Last night Josh and I took it easy.

The Night Before the Storm...

Sorry we haven't blogged in a while things have been crazy. Plus I have tried to blog twice and the computor crashs at the very end. I am back to school now and so far so good. Work is crazy. I am actually leaving tomorrow to go do some training for a customer. The customer is in Brighton, MI so I am staying with the rents. I decided to stay through the weekend also. On Saturday I am having a girls day with friends from college. Well, off to bed.

I am glad to be home from the Hospital...

Well, as everyone knows I haven't felt good all week. Last night Josh and I went to dinner and then rented a movie. I was tired and went to bed about 11. At 2 o'clock I woke because of a horrible pain in my stomach. I took some medicine and laid back down. I did fall a sleep for a little bite but was back up with the pain feeling worse lower in my stomach. Around 5 o'clock I woke Josh up to take my to the Emergency Room. It felt like it took an hour to drive the 5 miles to the ER. I thought I was going to die. Josh filled out the paper work because I could barely talk. I was in so much pain and was crying. It was the worse pain I have ever felt. They started giving my pain medicine. By this point I was throwing up and having a hard time breathing. It took a lot of medicine before I could finally relax. At this point I couldn't open my eyes. The world was spinning. Poor Josh was working from the ER between trying to take care of me. Well after some testing they found out that I have a large Kidney Stone. Everyone keeps telling me this is worse pain then labor pains. They released me and Josh brought me home. Then he went and got my 4 pain pills before he went to work. I have slept since then. The Stone is not moving right now so I am not in pain. But it could be a long night because I have to pass this stone sooner or later. So I will be in bed for a while. Please Pray that this thing passes quickly. I have to catch it and take it to a specialist to see if we can prevent this from happening again. It has been a long week. Hopefully I will start feeling better soon.

As Danielle mentioned, my sister and her husband visited this weekend. On Saturday night all four of us went bowling, it was lots of fun. Unfortunately I didn't bowl very well and Danielle beat me two out of three games. I now owe her a week of cooking dinner. This week at work has been pretty rough and I haven't got home in time to cook. Danielle has been a sweetheart though and cooked anyways. She had spaghetti ready to go tonight when I got home and it was very good! She is the best.

Cold Weather...

Well, my great uncle died yesterday. It is a sad day for my family. Everyone has been emailing and expressing thier feelings. He went in for knee surgury and died suddenly. I guess you never know when it is your time. The cold weather and starting school still hasn't raised my spirts.

I still don't feel good. Sunday I woke up sick and I still don't feel good and am in a lot of pain. I need to make some changes in my life. I need to start taking better care of me. So I am vowing to start working out again and eating right. Maybe I will have more energy and get more done.

Well we had vistiors this weekend. Josh's sister came into town. We had a good time. Josh really loves when his family and friendscome to visit. Friday night we attended Josh's work Christmas Party.

I am doing laundry and cleaning the house tonight. Trying to get my life together... ick. I need to get out of this crabby mood soon.

Is this week over yet???

So this is our new love :) We can't stop playing! Josh had the day off so he is better than me. Go figure 8 extra hours of practice helped... lol Well it has been a long week. It has been hard adjusting back after the short work weeks and vacations. I am really just stressed out tonight and tired. I am excited to take a bath and watch Gray's Anatomy and Private Practice. Josh is watching the football game (go Florida!) with the boys so I don't have to fight for the good TV. I also have to decide by midnight if I want to go to school next semester. Tuition went up again... Just my luck. I am also really burned out. It is so hard to study when I see everyone else having fun. I wonder some days if it is worth it. Josh is talking about going back to school for his teaching degree. I am not sure how serious he is about it... but I will support him any goal he wants to achieve. Ok... enough venting about my problems. Sorry, I am just in a blah mood. But some good news is that we might have visitors tomorrow. Josh's beautiful sister and brother-in-law might come for the weekend. I hope they do. They are very sweet and a lot of fun. We love visitors! So everyone should come visit! Other good new is that I came home to a clean house. I really needed that... Thanks babe. Days like to today remind me how lucky I am to have a great man like him. I love you Josh! xoxo

He needs a bath bad and he has to look pretty for company. lol Fred misses you Mom!

We are back...

So we are back to work today :( It was a busy few days. Wednesday we drove to Chiagco and got a motel room. Yes a motel... it was getto but we still had fun... lol We walked to the bar to bringing the new year. It was a lot fun. Then we got up early and went to Wrigley Field to go the Winter Classic. It was amazing. And the good guys won. That night we drove to my parents. There we got to open our Christmas presents. We got lots of great things. Thanks Mom and Dad.

Friday I went snowboarding with my Neice, Cayla. She did really well. After we went to dinner at a Mexican resturant with the family then went to see the new babies. They are beautiful! Riley was wide awake, but Ella was slept. Poor Amanda isn't getting any sleep because they are on different schdules.

Saturday Josh and I snowmoblied all day. We were pulling each other on the sled. It was a blast. Even my dad let me pull him around the lake. Then Saturday night was the big party. It turned out great. Everyone had a great time. Yesterday was a travel day and today is a work day! Hope everyone had a great New Years :)
